Western Midstream Partners, LP operates as a standalone midstream energy company following its separation from Occidental Petroleum. The partnership's infrastructure network spans Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming, providing critical gathering, processing, and transportation services for natural gas, crude oil, and NGLs. In addition to hydrocarbon logistics, Western Midstream offers comprehensive water handling solutions, including the gathering, recycling, and disposal of produced water. The company generates the majority of its cash flows through long-term, fee-based contracts, which mitigate direct exposure to commodity price volatility. Originally formed by Anadarko Petroleum, the current legal entity was established in 2012 and rebranded to Western Midstream Partners in 2019.
