PMET Resources Inc. (formerly Patriot Battery Metals Inc.) is a pre-revenue mineral exploration and development company primarily focused on hard-rock lithium and other critical battery metals. The company's principal asset is the wholly-owned Shaakichiuwaanaan Project (formerly known as the Corvette Property), located in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region of Quebec, Canada. The property spans over 23,700 hectares and hosts the CV5 spodumene pegmatite, which is recognized as the largest lithium pegmatite mineral resource in the Americas and one of the top ten globally. In addition to lithium, the project contains the world's largest pollucite-hosted caesium pegmatite resource, as well as significant tantalum and gallium deposits.
As an exploration-stage company, PMET Resources does not currently generate operating revenue. Its business model is centered on advancing the Shaakichiuwaanaan Project through feasibility studies, environmental and social impact assessments, and eventual mine construction to produce high-grade spodumene concentrate. The company aims to become a cornerstone supplier of responsibly sourced critical minerals for the global clean energy transition, strategically positioned to serve the North American and European electric vehicle and battery supply chains. In 2024, PMET secured a strategic investment from Volkswagen, marking its first major off-take partnership. The company also holds non-core exploration assets in British Columbia and Idaho, which are prospective for gold, copper, silver, and other base and precious metals.
