MOL Hungarian Oil and Gas Public Limited Company (MOL Group) is a leading integrated oil and gas enterprise in Central and Eastern Europe. Tracing its corporate lineage back to the establishment of the National Oil and Gas Trust (OKGT) in 1957 and incorporated as MOL in 1991, the group has grown into a multinational operator with activities spanning more than 30 countries.
MOL conducts business through five core operating segments: Downstream, Upstream (Exploration & Production), Consumer Services, Gas Midstream, and Circular Economy Services. Downstream represents the group's largest revenue and EBITDA contributor, operating three major complex crude oil refineries—the Danube Refinery (Százhalombatta, Hungary), Bratislava Refinery (Slovakia), and Rijeka Refinery (Croatia)—alongside petrochemical manufacturing facilities such as the Tiszaújváros polyol and polyolefins complex. Upstream produces crude oil, condensate, and natural gas, holding producing assets and exploration rights across the Pannonian Basin (Hungary and Croatia) as well as international acreage in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Consumer Services operates an extensive regional retail network of approximately 2,400 service stations across ten countries under banners including MOL, Slovnaft, INA, and Tifon, offering transport fuels alongside an expanding non-fuel convenience retail (Fresh Corner) and mobility services footprint. Gas Midstream operates high-pressure natural gas transmission pipelines through FGSZ Zrt. in Hungary.
MOL maintains strong integrated supply chain synergies, combining domestic refining assets with pipeline logistics, regional wholesale, and extensive retail distribution to serve key Central and South-Eastern European markets.
