Galiano Gold Inc. engages in the exploration, development, and production of gold properties. Its principal operation, the Asanko Gold Mine, consists of several open-pit mining areas including Abore, Miradani North, Nkran, and Esaase, supported by a 5.8 million tonne per annum carbon-in-leach processing plant. The company controls a substantial land package of over 21,000 hectares in central Ghana, providing significant exploration potential. Formerly known as Asanko Gold Inc., the company rebranded to Galiano Gold in 2020 to clearly distinguish its corporate entity from its primary operating asset. The Government of Ghana holds the remaining 10% free-carried interest in the Asanko Gold Mine.
