EnQuest PLC was formed in 2010 through the combination of the demerged UK North Sea assets of Petrofac and Lundin Petroleum. The company's principal activities involve the exploration, extraction, and production of hydrocarbons, with a strategic focus on extending the life of mature fields through operational efficiency and near-field drilling. Its upstream operations include key assets such as Magnus, Kraken, and the Greater Kittiwake Area in the North Sea, alongside growing interests in Southeast Asia, including Malaysia and Vietnam. In addition to its core E&P business, EnQuest operates an infrastructure and new energy division, leveraging its Sullom Voe Terminal for energy transition and decarbonization projects. The company also executes well decommissioning operations across its mature North Sea portfolio.
